Since my desire for Fantasy Baseball waned a bit this year and I decided not to play, I figured that i'd try out What If Sports MLB Sim game.
The rules are pretty forward, you draft a team of 25 players based on an $80 Million dollar salary cap. You can draft any player from any year, ie: you can draft Babe Ruth from 1927 and 1928, of course you'd have blown half your cap on 2 players but you get the drift.
Once you have your roster filled out you get put into a league.
There are options for private leagues and specialty leagues where the commish makes his own rules and then recruits players on the forums. The speciality leagues seem pretty cool and the rules you can go by are endless but for now i'm just getting my feet wet so i'll stick with a public league.
The cost is $12.95, not sure how long it takes to sim a season but it looks like it goes about 3-4 games a day so 6 weeks seems about right.
You can play games live against a human opponent, not sure how that works exactly, if you can only play your next opponent or what, but the live game is kind of fun. I've played a scrimmage, which is free as long as your a member (no fee) and had a good time playing the 80 Phillies against the 2001 Angels.
So anyhoo, thats my overview, now on to the game.
