I enjoyed the first one.
well, half of it - loved the castle building, hated the combat part of it which was pretty lame.

I enjoyed building castles and defending them, I did not enjoy all the RTS bits about having to manage the village/town/city. They've supposedly added more detail to those parts, so I'll be eager to find out how much I can turn off.

bump...saw this game in wal-mart today and it looked interesting. The only bad part was the box had NO info about the game at all. I also never played the first one. Anyone hear good or bad things about this game? Anyone have it yet?

Just checked the Stronghold 2 website, looks like your friend was quite right. There's already a small patch out, my guess is it'll be the first of many.

Gamespot gave it a bad review (5.9 out of 10) and listed the stability as having "major problems."
