So I'm looking for an lcd tv for my bedroom, preferrably a 28ish inch, and I want a really sharp picture.

My local Circuit City has a 26 inch Sharp Aquos for $1199 and it has a VERY clear and sharp picture.

Is that a good deal for the tv? What other accessories would I need to get the same picture that I see in the store. Would I need any special cables to hook up my gamecube and X-Box(which is also my dvd player) to get the best picture? Could I also hook it up to my computer for some widescreen Rome: Total War?

Help is greatly appreciated......

Don't know too much about this one, but the early Aquos got pretty good reviews.

The price sounds good (was originally listed at $1799).

You're probably seeing an HD feed in the store, but to get HD you need a HD compatible receiver ... and depending on where you live possibly an antenna (see if your local cable company carries local channels in HD).

I'd recommend the HD pack for your xbox. The TV has component links, so you'll need component cables for your DVD player (or DVI/HDMI if your DVD has these as outputs).

The specs on this say it's not PC compatible. I'm not sure exactly what that means .. but it doesn't sound good. If you have DVI out on your graphics card on your computer you could try hooking it up to the DVI input on the TV ... but based on the specs I wouldn't get my hopes up.

If you mean plasma screen, you might want to reconsider it.

Try to buy a used one. My friend got a nice sized flat screen LCD (not paper thin kind) for ~600 + 300 for the stand.
