Anybody use Poker Office (http://www.pokeroffice.com) software?
I'm using the unlicense software until I play 250 raked hands at Empire Poker - and then I get a registration key for free. I'm fascinated by this software and it has changed my online poker experience but I'm wondering how this damn thing isn't illegal  One flag that raises is the software knows your hole cards before they show on the screen. Any how- I'm just wondering if anyone else uses this software like this while playing - if not, try it!!

The reason it knows your hole cards before they are on the screen is because it is reading the hand histories that are being written to your hard drive as they are written. Your hole card info gets populated there right as the hand starts and doesn't have to wait for the little dealing animation to finish.

As for the software itself I have never used it, but I believe the general concensus is Poker TRacker is still superior.

Why would that be troubling?

If it is Empire, which after looking at their site I highly doubt, they're giving lesser oppenents the tools to beat you. I'm guessing that JoeBob poker player isn't going to search out a poker utility. However if Empire is throwing it at them, they'll use it....

Does Poker Tracker do the same thing that the Office program do, like display pot odds on the screen?

No it's not 'cause I contacted Empire about this promo and they told me I need to contact Poker Office.

No - unless they upgraded in the past week or so.

To be honest TLK Empire could display the pot odds in huge flashing numbers on some of these "lesser players" screens and they'd still chase every straight, flush and pair of aces regardless. PokerOffice can't help you win unless you are actually disciplined enough to use the info it gives you.
