Just loaded it up, havnt played it hardly at all, but the graphics choice...some sort of 3D rendering of things is really wierd at the start.

Let me know how good it is Flasch, I liked the first one but didn't like the expansion.

I played the Demo to this game, and therefore will not be buying the final. I am *VERY* disappointed at the departures from the orginal, such as no custom civs and completely different hotkeys. Blech.

Those are minor compared to how muddled the whole thing feels. Dont get me wrong Im a Civ guy so perhaps that handicaps me a bit with EE but to me it feels "blech" so another wasted $50.

Poster child for why newsgroups are so popular, I suppose. Seems to be a damn lot of those too(poster childs, that is).

EE2 is like EE1 and Rise of Nations had a bastard child, beat it up, but put some glitter over its wounds.

I was thinking about getting it for my kid because he likes Empire Earth so much. He's eight, so I don't know how well he would adjust to the new game features.

I would get him something else, duckman. I played the hell out of EE but EEII has sat around collecting dust. There are better options, imo.
