I am in the process of a 90 day stretch of shaving every day in hopes of growing some sweet facial hair. Mine grows but not very thick, and I have that area of skin that would connect the mustache to the goatee/beard that is bald like (insert analogy here)

Now I hear the more you shave, the thicker it can grow in.

I've also heard disputing claims.

Do we really know?

And just to note, I don't really plan on keeping the facial hair, but I would love that knowledge to know that if I ever was going to become a schitzophrentic murderer that I have the look in my repetoir.

It's an illusion. Hair is thinner at the ends than at the base. If you completely remove a hair (tweezer, wax, Nair, etc.), it has to completely regenerate itself. So the new hair will appear thinner and finer than the one that was removed. When you shave, you are just cutting the end off of the hair. It is already grown a certain size, so when it continues to grow after you shave, the end is thicker than the hair before you shaved. Thus the appearance of "more" or "thicker" hair.

I put that nipple cream stuff on there once. It was like having frost bite and then nipple gonoreha. or you know .. so i hear.

It didn't hurt real bad but we thought it would be funny to do it on the front porch in full view of the major highway we lived on. I swear to god we almost caused about 100 accidents with people looking at us. It was great.
