View Full Version : Movies: Grossest/Sickest Scene In a Movie?

Just watched Deliverance again, and it got me to thinking about what is the grossest/sickest thing you've seen in a movie?

Now I think anyone who has scene Deliverance can assume what scene made me think about this, but it doesn't come close to my #1.

That would go to Audition, a Japanese horror/suspense movie that is just sick.

There is a part in the movie in which this girl tortures this guy (you need to see the movie, because the way it's built makes it so intense) with piano wire. She cuts the guys foot off with it. It's like a fifteen minute torture scene that is just unreal. Also, she throws up in a bowl and feeds it to him.

It's all just whack.

Cannibal Holocaust clocks in at #2 just because everything in the movie as related to the animals being slaughtered was real. Kind of a tweaked thing to see.

But anyways, what about you guys?

Horror movies are the way to go. Most are corney as hell but at least have great UIC. Audition was a movie my buddy told me to watch without explaining it to me. That one is one of the few that creeped me out.

The "Put your teeth on the curb" scene from American History X ranks up there.

Good call. I think what made that scene hard to take was the fact that it's something that can totally happen. The two I listed are possible but less rare then something like that.

I think it is from "Not just another Teen Movie". This pretty good looking girl starts french kissing this old woman. For some reason, retching ensued.

I would go with:

a. I Spit On Your Grave The scene where the guy gets his dick cut off by the cannibal chief and the cannibal chief eats it.

or

b. Resevoir Dogs The scene where Mr. Blonde cuts off the cop's ear and says, "Can you hear me?" to the ear. Actually that's pretty funny, so I'm going with A.

Monica Bellucci's rape scene in Irreversible is horrible. The ending of Irreversible is no picnic either.

The rape scene in "Leaving Las Vegas." Or the entire movie for that matter.

Actually, I was about 15 years old and saw some of it. I know why it was banned in so many countries. I have seen some shit, and I could not stomach that movie in its entirety.

Yeah I can see it having an effect. That rape scene was like half the movie. It's pretty messed up. The penis being cut off was the only death I even remember, the others weren't that good. That movie just seemed to be made to see how far it could really go.

Just to note. Any Peter Jackson (from Lord of the Rings) horror movie goes down as the worst thing ever. I did chuckle at Dead Alive, but Bad Taste was the worst movie ever.

I always thought it was really weird that Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson, two guys most well known for their gory, low budget horror movies, got handed two of the biggest franchises in film history in Spider Man and LOTR. Of course, I like both of them (I've been a Raimi fan for a long time), I just can't imagine movie people wanting to hand them hundreds of millions of dollars. It worked out really well for everyone, though.

Haha yeah I agree.

if I had seen Bad Taste and then was forced to pick someone to make Lord of the Rings, I would've laughed at the thought of Jackson. It's so bad.

Korean movie Old Boy was fucked up after the guy found out he had been banging his 21 year old daughter, don't ask the guy didn't know she was, he cuts off his own togue with wire cutters!

That's crazy. Asian horror movies (or suspense or however you want to label them) are freakin' nuts.

The Exorcist...

The sickest scene is actually when they do the medical procedure on Regan and they send a probe into her neck and blood spurts out...icky

Though the spiderwalk scene that was added in the director's cut version sends chills...it's so quick, but it's kinda like "did that just happen"

GREAT movie, by the way. The teeth-pulling scene was also extremely hard for me to watch... it's the worst possible torture i can imagine.

I would say about any scene from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I saw that on cable 20 years ago and I still get freaked out thinking about it.

I guess you mean the end of the story/beginning of the movie? I'll admit it is probably one of the toughtest scenes to watch and most realistic looking deaths i've ever seen. Very tough to watch.

The movie kind of sucked overall though, i was expecting much more out of it.

- Rape scene in "Irreversible"
- Rape scene in "Man bites Dog" (I find the rest of the movie funny but this scene is disturbing).
- Torture scene in "Audition"
- Teeth scene in "American history X"
- All the movie "Nekromantic" (and most german horror movies in general)

wasn't disturbed by old boy (but I understand how someone can be) and thought the movie was great.

I don't think this was the worst one ever, but, I just saw Sin City a couple days ago; the scene with the dog and Elijah Wood is pretty f'ed up (I won't go into detail for those who haven't seen it yet).

Yeah I was expecting a little more from the movie, but Bellucci being naked through half of it made up for any shortcomings in the plot.

Just a note on Jackson and LOTR. He wasn't given it by a movie studio, he (and his team) worked on it and pitched it to the studio. (And he was rejected at first)

When you make someone bite the curb and stomp their head in, is actually called a kurbjaw. That scene in American History X always makes me cringe.

Also I'll add that scene in Saw when that guy stuck his hand in the toilet. Too bad that movie sucked.

Pssh.

Oh well, Blair Witch is getting a freakin' pre-quel.
