This blurb was in the local "traffic doctor" section of the paper today:

"Word has come from SummerBrooke that those foolhardy boys who recently took turns hiding in a giant cooler in an intersection, hoping to get pushed around by traffic, may have been seventh-graders, not 7-year-olds. No word yet on whether their parents have identified them and sentenced them to eternal house arrest."

Darwin Award Runners-Up for the day.

Seriously, what combination of boredom and intellect is needed to decide that the best way to have fun is to stuff yourself in a cooler and try to get hit by cars? I'm guessing lots of the former and very little of the latter.

Only with empty vats that used to contain toxic material. I was never stupid enough to stuff myself in a cooler!

I teach 6th and 7th graders everyday. I wish I could say I was also at a loss for words, sigh...

Yea but if they have any obvious handicap you should be OK (this will make up for the points you lost on age difference). The fact that they were in a cooler should be a bonus as well.
