Here's a little Windows XP tip:

Right click on the desktop
Properties
Appearance Tab
Effects button
Check the box for 'Use the following method to smooth the edges of screen fonts
Click the drop down box and select: ClearType
Hit Ok, then apply

Much easier to read font for LCD's.. imo. I believe Microsoft developed this font specifically for LCD monitors.

Better idea: google "powertoys", follow the first link in the results ("Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP"), and download the ClearType tuner. That will help you tweak ClearType to your satisfaction.

Don't forget to turn this back off before running Extractor, since it messes up the OCR algorithm.

I love FOFC. I just got my CPU switched out at work and knew I had learned this here.
