A coach who we think was under contract prior to Staff hiring was let go (Free agent - not coachin) and the originating team got stuck with a cheaper/cruddier HC....any ideas?

here's the thread that its being discussed at

http://www.usfl-fof.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=442

thanks

do you still have his export? put your game back to the last stage, import just his export, and the seeif he made an offer.

Hatcher doesn't go backwards. It messes up the medula. Plus, he doesn't archive files.

ok, first of all...ALL the league files are archived, which one do you want? Ill email it to you. thanks for the snipe.

second, it doesnt show the signing EVEN in the game AT any stage!! so its definitely wierd.

third, im not rolling back for one export that doesnt even look like it was the latest one (being the coaches signing being at staff hiring day 2 - AND it doesnt show in game AT ALL) Ive never been one to not roll back but only for fairness issues.

I want the *.fga and *.frc files. Is that what you're sending me, because I doubt you have them.
:)

Edit: Okay, I'm impressed.

I am guessing it is just some random screw up by the game. If you haven't emailed Solecismic the do that.

Otherwise I am guessing no one here knows much about it.

Stupid question #1:

Have you checked the transaction log to see if it says if/when the coach was hired?

Stupid question #2:

If you re-run the stages (for testing purposes), what happens?

Stupid question #3:

Have you tried importing just the problem team's exports to see what happens? Might have to go back a few stages.

Stupid question #4:

If you melt dry ice, can you swim without getting wet?

Stupid question #5:

Was the coach under investigation for corporate malfeasance and perhaps retired suddenly under pressure from the league, but was given a golden parachute so that he could continue to use the team jet, get team rates at first class hotels, and maintain his 400 zillion dollar 401(k) program which he promptly transferred to his 20 year old lover (a hooters waitress) to avoid paying income taxes? :p

Then I'd contact [email protected], and keep the save files around in case they want to see them.
