Ive played it tons. Its a bit broken, but it can be fun. Ive been in leagues for many many years, but never try to play it single player. A lot of the problems is that its a "season sim" masquerading as a "career sim." Guys dont have abilities, they have ratios. And you can manipulate those ratios to have very unlikely outcomes(our league had a guy score 50 ppg cause he was the only one on his team with a high FGA rating)


And you can diss on Wig Sovstar, but this is an area where he does have some experience. He ran 2 different jsb leagues for a long time. It has many problems.

JSB was my second sports text sim ever. Frank and Nancy were nice people, but they never did iron out all of the kinks with that game. Well, I know they didn't before I gave up waiting after a year or so. However, it was a fun game for its time. I think FBB and TPB2 blow it away now.

i think Total pro Basketball 2005 is way better.

when you going to do a review and test on it, like you do for the other sports sim games?

I think that was apart of the .400 software boom. I know it was never released. I thnk Joe Stallings yelled at Nancy.

i thought courtside development/pending release was after they got fired from .400?

Courtside was pending release both before their merger with .400 and after their split from .400. However, I eventually stopped waiting to hear more about it.

It did allow us to "fix" JSB. Working on a new patch right now.
Courtside will be released November 1st, 2005 (Really)
