Thanks Jeebs. Hey for some reason I had to change the date and location of our game - I have requested a game in early Nov at your place. I hope that works out. Missing a sim seems to have made a mess of my schedule.

I'm not sure if I have any more home games available. Hopefully it'll work out...

Well, for some reason it said I didn't have any home games left, even though I am sure I did. I really wish we hadn't rushed through the scheduling sims. :(

We're taking a week for the 3 scheduling sims, that's really as slow as we can realistically go. It always sucks when someone is busy or travelling or something during the offseason(I missed some FAs I wanted in the RWBL because I was out of town last week and couldn't keep up the bidding war that was going on, etc).

Its also a function of having a league that's so large. OOTP and FOF don't have to schedule themselves, and the number of players is capped. With upwards of 50 coaches who have to schedule all their own games, something is always going to get screwed up.

This kind of thing, plus the assistant hiring(mainly the assistant hiring), makes me wonder if a cap on the number of human players in a league is in order, probably around the number we have now. As awesome as it sounds to me as a college basketball lover to think about having 100+ coaches, I don't think it's feasable in FBCB. Too much commish intervention would be required, espicially on assistant coaches.

anyway, just rambling :) My bad on the file, things have remained pretty hectic since I got back from the trip and I hadn't synced up the normal file w/ the temp site.

I think it COULD work but you would need a strong set of rules and more than just one commisioner - a group of commisioners, one for each conference perhaps. The assistant coach thing would have to be done differently - maybe with a series of simultaneous silent bids.

Anyway, I hope I wasn't too hard on you radii. You and Fozz are doing a good job, and so far I'm having fun. I was just a bit frustrated with the odd schedule.

Two conversations on two different boards, but yeah, the assistant thing is the hardest thing to get by. This is only my 3rd season running the show, and only my second since we've become so large.

I intended to document exactly when all the sims ran this preseason and to try to get suggestions on how to do it better/more efficiantly in the future.
