OT: New CD's won't play in my PC

So I got some new CD's (for the first time in a while) and they won't play in my PC. Green Day's CD won't even list the tracks and another CD will only play in Windows Media Player. I've heard about this "security feature" for a while, and I was wondering if there was a semi-simple way around it. It's like, I paid for the damn CD and I'd like to listen to it whereever I want.

Tips would be appreciated :)

Use CDex and rip them to MP3 then play those. I haven't tried to play my Green Day CD but that's what I do with all my CDs, so I have an MP3 backup of them all.
