Big fight tonight, Bernard Hopkins, pound for pound #1 in the world vs Jermain Taylor, his toughest oppoisition in years.
Anyone planning on buying it? I wont be home for parts of it so I wont be buying(and the undercards kinda suck).

I won't be buying because I agree that the undercard is weak.

Wow Hopkins by KO eh?
I think Taylor wins by decison to be honest. I really think Hopkins has slowed down the past couple years.
Now if Hopkins knocks my boy Taylor senseless in round 1 im gonna have to quit fofc :D

It is $50. Shame too, Hopkins isnt liked enough and Taylor not well known enough to get a ton of buys here.

I'd buy it, but I'll wait until next Saturday and watch on HBO for free. Taylor is a phenomenal talent, but Hopkins is crafty. It's going to be a great fight. I hope Taylor stays undefeated as I think that it is good for boxing

Hopkins is fighting a young lion who doesnt know that he can be beat. Much like with Trinidad. In order for Hopkins to win this fight however, he has to hope for quite a few mistakes by Taylor. I dont see that happening. I think Taylor wins a decision. Like Hagler did, Hopkins goes out at the right time.

I've just seen this is live and free on Sky Sports over here, so as its 2am I'll hit record on Sky+ and watch it tomorrow - the undercard sounds OK - Wayne McCullough (although this is more of a British interest) and Vernon Forrest: he was awesome until he got injured...

Does anyone really actually make money on boxing? Other than those who are *supposed* to?
I made like 15 bucks tonight, and it feels so pathetic.

I made a little over $200 tonight. That was with a few different ppl, just friendly bets basically with big Hopkins fans(im in Philly).
Generally if I win a bet it costs the same to get the PPV. I dont bet much :)

Damned show musta overrun, as my recording ended at the end of round 6! Looked to be an intriguing fight though, and got to admire McCullough's sheer bullishness and see Forrest demolish somebody who wasn;t in his class though...
