I knew that Patterson was traded but I never heard the details about who the Cubs got in return for him. Is there a link or does anyone know who the Cubs got? Where did Patterson even end up at?

Reall. I though he was traded. Maybe I missed understaood what I heard. I knew the Cubs traded an outfielder for another outfielder but I thought Patterson was in the deal. Hmm, I'll have to check around at some of the minor league sites.

Hmmm. Depends on what Patterson we are talking about. The Patterson of 2 years ago (ast half of the season) was better than nearly all other young outfielders at the time. The Patterson of this last year...well I just PRAY that Jody is somwhat better.

The Yanks should get him while his value is at its lowest. I'd rather have Patterson's .230 with occasional power and good speed than Bubba Crosby's empty .230. Plus, we need someone with good range to cover for Matsui and Sheffield.

No doubt, Patterson is a great fielding centerfielder. I just hope he can turn things around with the Cubs and come out hitting (either later this year or next year).
