I haven't simmed multiple seasons before in FOF, so I'm just curious if anyone knows this... a participant in my league who runs the dolphins just had Ronnie Brown go down with a "degenerative hip problem" for 85 weeks. He's rated a 63/80 with 96 volatility. What is he in for when Ronnie returns? I realize there's no definte answer. But with injuries like this, is a guy's career generally done?

It just depends. I'd say 75% chance or higher he is done, maybe even 100%....If he comes back, he wont be the same player.

off the top of my head I'd say so. Particularly because it's for so long and it's "degenerative." That being said, if I could keep the guy on IR for a min-sal and I had the cap space for 85 weeks, I might give him a shot to see how he returns. I've seen guys return from serious multi-season injuries and perform not necessarily at "Pro-Bowl" caliber, but at "strong starter" level, and sometimes you can get nice bargins that way. But 85 weeks...that's a hell of a long time. And another good argument for why we need injury settlements in the game. Cuz he's sucking up a roster spot as is, which is annoying.

Simply put, Ronnie Brown is fucked.

Brown is as good as dead weight on the cap. Literally and figuratively.

If the team that owns brown were to trade him, they could probably advance the cap hit for next season. And then the other team could just IR, and Minsal him for the next 2-3 years.
