I think I am going to give this a try agin. All in all I really like the PS take at baseball simulation. Good luck to Shaun. :)

I'm really digging this game. OOTP has become stale (I played the heck out of it but it's time for v7). PS has really pulled me into my 16 team fictional career. I'll agree that the solo aspect of the the game is quite engrossing and I'm finding myself playing way past bedtime. :)

I hope the game really takes off now that Shaun has a publisher, but if you're looking for a fun baseball game, give it a try.

What is the deal? Is the released version of the Gold Edition still free to those of us who bought the beta, or is this the beginning of a new cycle? Is even a beta downloadable at this point?

I think right now if you don't have the game in any form (like me) its impossible to get it right now.

You might be right since the Gold release is close by. I think the RC 1 canidate is only for those of us who bought version 2005 when it came out awhile back.

The game will be available soon from Matrix games. I took it off the PureSim site to avoid confusion during this time. (I guess I created some)

We need to do work with completing the manual, updating the game to run in Europe, fix final bugs, do marketing, packaging etc.

The game is in great shape (as I'm sure those of you with RC1 can see) it just takes a lot to bring it to market :)

That's what I needed, and I tell ya.. I'm hooked so far. I'm using a 16 team league and have expansion enabled for the future. I took some ootp fictional logos and made them fit to PS's dimensions. I might add some faces soon, but for now I'm just taking my Richmond Cardinals and simming week by week until I feel comfortable with this team.

Like I said, there's less clutter than ootp and a nice change of pace. The PSPN issues that come out each week really make it easy for a solo player to learn his universe.
