sigh, it's getting to be that point where my roster is too old in my SP career. We've gone to 5 straight Super Bowls (winning 3) but age is starting to catch up to us. We're only $27mil over the cap this season (we make about $90 mil profit each season) but it's time, we are running out of parts to trade to keep a fieldable team :(

anyone else get bummed when they have to break up a team?

I had the Lions go to 9 of 12 SB's, winning 6 (3 straight.)

When that team eventually fell apart I hated it. It had been strange. The 1st QB won two SB's, then blew his knee in the next season. His backup won one then lost one. I signed the best QB in the league and just kept going back. :)

I just got back on top after a decade of consistant winning, but never getting back to the big game. I won a SB with an old QB. I had a young, talented guy that I handed the job to who went 15-1, then lost the SB. Next season: 16-0, 3-0 playoffs! Next season: 16-0, but the O-line was destroyed by injuries and we lost the 1st playoff game.

Personally thats the part I like best, when its actually challenging to keep fielding a winning team.

Win a superbowl with young players under contract, and the next is gonna be yours also. Not really a big challenge at that point.

Plus I think its fun to see how your star players do on other teams

I had a 4th rd WR who developed nicely, but his ststs never matched up wwith his talent. He topped 1000 only once. I franchised him and traded him where he promptly had an 1800 yd season! I signed him, he got hurt in camp and never had another 1000 yd season again. Good old Dexter Bolt.
