Sorry bud, had to. :)
I would have followed Pearl with a land invasion, but that's just me though.

Sorry, ardent, but this is kindof sad. Not only that but parody threads are the bane of this message board ;)

In real life -- No, they ended up getting their a$$es nuked. Nuff said.

The movie -- No, what a waste of celluloid. I recommend Tora, Tora, Tora

miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark,
When he made Pearl Harbor.
I miss you more then that movie missed the point,
And that's an awful lot girl.
And now, now you've gone away,
And all I'm trying to say,
Is Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you

I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school,
He was terrible in that film.
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part,
He's way better then Ben Affleck.
And now all I can think about is your smile,
And that shitty movie too,
Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you

(Interlude)

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies.
I guess Pearl Harbor sucked,
Just a little bit more then I miss you.

Pearl Harbor was going to be the best movie ever until I realized I was watching Titanic II.

I went in knowing that the movie was trying to be Titanic II. I just hoped it would be better than Titanic.

I was wrong.

So how did it end?

The one thing about Pearl Harbor is that, seeing it in theaters, I still thought the thirty minutes of action was worth the price of admission even if it was interrupting a bad love triangle.

In the real Pearl Harbor?

Strategically, it was the right thing to do for the Japanese, heck the only thing the Japanese could do. The US was cutting off trade routes, and the Japs knew that if they were to dominate the Pacific, they had to destroy the US Fleet.

The problem was that they didn't follow up. The Japs could have easily made landings on the California Coastline a few days after Pearl Harbor. The US Army didn't have enough manpower at that time to counteract a full-scale ground invasion.

The movie... er... I'll have to say thumbs in the middle... leaning down for the Affleck-involvement.
