The bomb was dropped for the time 60 years ago, today (well, tomorrow - but that's already the case in Japan). If nothing else, lets hope we never see that kind of horror and carnage again - nothing before and nothing since has quite matched it.

I find the phrasing of this statement a little curious.

I know you didn't mean it the way it reads, Crapshoot, but it seems to imply that some kinds of carnage are okay, but that nuclear carnage is too horrific to contemplate.
