XBOX Troubles

It seems almost every game I try to load up gives me the Can't read error. Is there a way to clean it to make it read better? The CD's are not scratched, so I know that is not the problem. Any advise would be appreciated.

Try a CD cleaning kit. However, your machine might be starting to die.

Ya.. I'd say dust would be the #1 culprit. (Assuming you are using legit games and haven't modded your box or anything) Try a cleaning disk or compressed air. Might even be necessary to open it up to give the lense a good cleaning with compressed air or alcohol...

If it's a "Dirty Disc Error" then the dvd drive is probbaly toast. You can either replace the laser on the dvd drive or replace the drive itself.

I had a first generation xbox with a Thompson drive and it started doing the same thing. I replaced the laser on it and it's been error free.

Mine is doing that also...it needs a new DVD drive. Time to get my 3rd/4th Xbox...:(
