anyone seen this? just got done watching and I thorughly enjoyed it. I think it was pretty well done, I usually hate mtv films (PUKE) lol. I really didnt know waht to expect going in, but for a movie about a played out pimp wanting to rap and having a dream, it was very entertaining.

I have been amused to hear the movie being pushed with regularity the last couple of weeks on the NPR news shows. Interesting audience to target.

It is billed as a John Singleton movie, and that is all I ever needed to hear. Singleton is damn good at making movies IMO. And although some Craig Brewer guy is the actual director, Singleton is the Producer. I may not see this in theaters, but I will defintetly watch this thing when it is on video.

why does everyone knock mtv films? besides joes apartment, i dont really know any awful movies off the top of my head.

besides, mtv bought this movie at sundance, they didnt make it. and regardless of all that, terrance howard is so damn good in this film it is downright scary.

Terrence Howard was also brilliant in Crash. In a movie filled with impressive performances, I came away saying "Who was that guy?"
