Eb games has NHL 06 for 29 bucks if you pre-order it - thought a few people here might be interested.

Since NHL 2K6 will be 19.99 again, I think the 29 price point will be there, even if you don't pre-order it.

from what i heard, no new rules this year and the roster changes won't be complete (although on PC downloaded rosters should fix that). still seems like a no-buy for me personally though without the new rules. I'd rather have EHM for the same price

That would be ridiculous if they don't include the new rules and economic structure. Personally I would rather have them delay the game then have an updated version of 05.

i read that in a preview, i think it was prolly on gamespot.com . i think their sales of it are going to be horrible if that's truly the case

One thing that's probably on everybody's mind is exactly how much of the new NHL rules and players will make it into NHL 06. The answer? Probably not a ton of it. If you're expecting to get your salary cap on in the dynasty mode, that definitely isn't going to happen this year. However, some of the rule changes, such as the marginally smaller goalie pads, have a good shot of making it into the final game. Rosters-wise, EA Canada is aiming to do its best to get as many of the rosters accurate as possible. But with so many free agents floating around right now, it might be tough to get everything perfect. Plus, for all you fans that have been dying to play with Sidney Crosby, you may have to wait a while longer, as rookies can't be inserted into the game until they've played at least one NHL game. But hey, that's what downloadable rosters are for, right?

Well, from what I have read the rules and evrything will be in the Take-two NHL2K6 game which looks awesome form the videos I have seen.
The developer answered that the new rules will be in but no salary cap until next year. At least thye didn't lie like EA would of just said it is in the game when it wasn't.

I love the NHL 2k series and this year I'll stick with Sega.
