COLEMAN, Texas -- A Texas farmer may have found what some would call a "chupacabra," a legendary animal known for sucking the blood out of goats. Reggie Lagow set a trap last week after a number of his chickens and turkeys were killed. What he found in his trap was a mix between a hairless dog, a rat and a kangaroo. The mystery animal has been sent to Texas Parks and Wildlife in hopes of determining what it is.

Really doesn't look scary.

this has to be a hoax, mainly because the story seems to omit the damn thing is dead. He traps a chupacabra and it magically dies? maybe it is a vampire and the sun really can kill it?

It kind of looks like the Elmendorf Beast, which may/may not be the same thing.

It's probably a yet known creature or maybe a hybrid dog thing.

That whole sucking blood out of goats thing is at the very least mildly upsetting if not scary....maybe because I live on a ranch? Altho im thinking the whole thing is B.S.

Actually I caught a Chupacabra several years ago.

Here it is cornered in my backyard:

I was unable to catch it then, but later I discovered it made it's way into my house. Here it is glaring at me, telling me to back off before it drains my blood:

I had to run for fear of being drained. Unfortunately it killed my old man (background) and started making more threatening glances towards me:

A close up after it ate my old man:

I eventually caught it off guard and captured it while it was sleeping in this laundry basket:

After some time I was able to housebreak it, although it wasn't happy about it's life in servitude. I also found out it was a Raiders fan, as I snapped this picture of it right after they lost the Superbowl:
