Anything else? I thought there was.

King's X...I wish! September 27. Check out the video for Alone on the www.insideoutmusic.com (http://www.insideoutmusic.com) site. KX and chicks in a video! WTH, have they decided they are Monster Magnet?! :D

Opeth is coming out, I've already bought it, in fact (gotta love indie CD shops).

OK GO also comes out, I hope this album's a bit better than the last one.

dola:

video looks pretty good. The guys are looking VERY good. I didn't think the chicks in the video were needed; but I will take what i can get when it comes to Kings X video material.

That's like Rush putting some hoes in their videos. :D

The KX board is going nuts over the chicks. The consensus is that they were added to try to get the video played on MTV2 or Fuse. That, combined with the song being a short, peppy power-punk-pop song, may get them a bit of attention.

Knowing the band, though, the chicks look completely out of place and unnecessary. But at this point...whatever works for them.

Is this your label for it, or someone elses? I disagree with a lot of things that get punk thrown into the label now days, this is one of them. Maybe I am sensative because of bands like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan. Ok song though, and yes the girls are pointless.

bad song, terrible video. It has the vibe of old men who think they'll be "hip with the kids" if they have a few cheap looking strippers standing around.

That's my label, although it's usually thrown around for short, powerful but melodic songs like this one. Believe me, I hate punk, so it's not like I'm using it as a compliment. It just has a bit of that vibe to it.

Old men, but they can rock the shit out of almost all of the younger men in bands today.

Scoff at the record label that the band is slave to. That's how videos happen the way they do.

Good song, terrible video.

pop punk IS a recognized term. You can thank the good charlottes and green days for that.

though, they are laughing as they wipe their asses with hundred dollar bills. can't hate businessmen for being successful.

Funny thing is, that KX video was directed by some rap dude - Dr. Teeth, I think it is? From the Houston area, did videos for Mike Jones and Slim Thug. They made a second video that hasn't been released yet.

Hey, I applaud what the guys are doing, taking one last shot at the big-time. Dug Pinnick can kick anyone's ass on stage, and the dude's 54 years old (55 next week, I just read). And that song's not great, but it's a pretty solid opener for the new album. Of the 4-5 songs I've heard off of it, Open My Eyes is probably the best.
