(Yeah, I'm not looking for a new job, I'm actually looking for folks who might be itnerested in coming *here)

Anyway, if any of you artistically inclined folks are looking for a new job, and actually want to be in the Chicago Burbs...my company is hiring a junior-esque designer and a senior-esque designer.

Negatives: You'd have to work with me. :)

I didn't know you were a hairdresser on the side. ;)

Which burbs? My brother-in-law is a graphic designer who has been looking for a better job, but he lives in the city.

Depends massively on how good you are. The top top TOP designer here (who is simply incredible) makes 6 figures.

Others vary widely, from 30's to 60's.

Translation: 30K if you're lucky.

What type of work? Print? Advertising? Web?

And what kind of qualifications would you be looking for? Academically? Portfolio?

I am no graphic designer, just curious that's all, plus I am sure these are some questions the prospective applicants might want to ask. :)

Is the company willing to pay for relocation?

I have a buddy that is looking, but it would have to be real good to get him to jump, he is one of the better artists out there, he has launched several companies and their branding, he can do video, web based, and print work.

I have not a damn clue. It's entirely possible with a very skilled individual, though I repeat: Not A Clue.

Where would he go to apply?

He'd shoot me a resume and I'd send it to the appropriate people.

The jobs are apparently listed somewhere, but I dunno where, and this is easier.

PM me an email address, and I will have it sent to you
