It's Labor Day and I thought I'd waste the day with a good game...
Just picked up NCAA 06 for XBOX.
After trying to read through the 18 page "First Impressions" thread, I thought it might be best to ask this in a separate thread...
What settings/sliders are you using?
I really enjoyed 04, but never got 05 because of the negative press...
Thanks.

I'm in the minority, but I use AA default, penalties all maxed and 8 min quarters.

I'm in that awful limbo between AA and Heisman. I find AA too easy, even if I move the sliders to a difficult setting. It seems I'm able to abslutely crush the weaker teams (I play as Virginia Tech) and have an easy time of it against the top 10 teams.
However, if I switch to Heisman, the game becomes almost unplayable. Even with genreous sliders in my favor, I find myself unable to score, my QB is 1-21 passing, RB can't make it last the LOS, and the other team just runs up and down the field with ease. Even playing against 1-AA teams where I'm a B+/A overall and they are D/D-, it's a 21-7 game at hafltime at best. Where I'm losing. That just isn't realistic.
If someone was able to come up with a realistic set of sliders, not for perfect statistical accuracy (which is folly in a console game IMO), but for realistic gameplay I'd be forever in their debt. And by realistic gameplay I mean (1) easy to crush the weak teams, (2) competitive games against a mojority of teams, and (3) hard but manageable against the top teams.
