I'd say: YEAH!!! If you're into text-sims, just buy it. You'll be surprised from the engine's accuracy AND the nice graphic touch.
Anyway, I'd suggest you to try the demo first. I think it's like 100 days of playing with all functions.

I echo everyone else's comments in this thread, try the demo and I think you'll hit the purchase button after some time with it.

Is there any kind of updated 05-06 roster set out yet? I tried to update the newest ones in Access, but it quickly became too much for me to handle.

Gary said No.
but after he finished the college basketball that wil be release this year, then he going to update TPB 2005 to fix any bugs and make it so you can export rookies from Total College Basketball to Total Pro Basketball 2005.

Yeah, there is a college one coming out so if money's an issue, you might want to wait to see if the college game is better/more interesting to you than the Pro game.

Be sure to try the demo as the game didn't like adjusting to my 1400x1050 laptop screen. All the buttons were located in areas that weren't clickable making it guesswork as to where to click. However, if you have this resolution and don't mind switching down whenever you play the game it might be worth picking up. I'm hoping that the impending college football game can run without this hassle on my screen.

One thing you may want to check on the laptop issue is the dpi settings? It may like the 1400x1050 resolution better if the DPI settings are set to 96dpi (Normal).

As Scott said thaty is probably your issue. I run the game on 1680x1050 and 1280x800 (or something similiar)
