So this is a mini-rant on my part. In the game I started as Real Madrid I am spending frugally, but then in the offseason Florentino Perez goes out and spends 400 million dollars over two offseasons (for players valued at ~160 million dollars) and puts the club deep into debt so the board is limiting salaries and becoming concerned about finances. And this gets pushed down on me why? I understand the "wanting Perez to be realistic and sign the biggest stars in the world" side of things, but is there a way to balance that with some semblence of fiscal responsibility. Like maybe he'd make sure there was money available so the board wouldn't be concerned about the club falling into receivership before he went out and spent a half billion dollars? It's just...irritating. Cuz then they start unilaterally releasing players that i was planning on having around all so Perez can sign Emerson from Inter for 122 million dollars (the dude is only worth 27!!).

i know it's a minor complaint, but it's just irritating.

edit: my "complaint" as it were isn't that Perez is out there signing players for me, but more that he isn't exercising the same kind of fiscal restraint that the board is then holding me to. Hell, they released 3 of my players after his spending binge and severely affected my depth all because they WAY overspent on 4 stars. I don't expect this to be magically fixed or anything obviously Marc, I'm just asking that someone take a look at that bit of code for FM 2006 and tweak it a little so the chairmen don't spend 122 million dollars on a player who is valued at 30 million at a position where I bought a 52 million dollar player just the year before. It just doesn't make any sense...
