Party Poker

My friend plays Party Poker with fake money. She has had a tough time winning any hands at all.

She played 7 hours without winning 1 pot. Has anyone else experienced this?

Play money games can barely be called poker, especially at Party. They bear little resemblance to actual poker games because people can play any two cards and raise/bluff at will without fear of consequence (ie, losing money). Any success (or lack thereof) at those tables really isn't an indicator of skill.

play money games suck. you cant use any kind of actual strategy, because people will chase anything. they never fold marginal hands (or worse) on the chance that they may suck out on the river. it is annoying to even be in one of those games.

That said, playing seven hours without winning a pot is a whole other issue. She's doing something wrong.

She just was unlucky. Losing with full houses, flushes and straights. Just plain unlucky. She wanted to kick the computer.
