FOF universe folder - oops

So, I started a FOF career on my computer at home, and emailed the files to my work address. I unzipped them into my universe directory so I could access that game from the second computer.

Now, when I open up the game in single player mode, there is only one game available - the new one. I don't see any of my (probably 30 or 40) previously saved caereers in the menu.

While it's not a cataclysmic problem if this is not resolvable -- doea anyone know if there's a fairly simple way to get FOF to reloctate these other saved games? The files are all still there, I just suspect that there's some sort of directory file that I inadvertently over-wrote.

Gone forever? Or is there some way to recover?

It's the "frfoot.fff" file in the universe directory. Did you bring that one over? If not, the format is simple, and someone could probably hand edit one for you if you knew which game names matched which FGA files.

Thanks... I'll see if I can hack one together okay. It ought to be fairly simple to at least regain reference to my more recent careers.

another example of the infuriating way that FOF deals with saves. hopefully one day the file structure of FOF can be cleaned up and it'll be possible to do things like have a fictional multiplayer league and normal solo league on the same install without having to bugger around with batch files. blah.
