Whatever medication you're currently taking.. well, you need more of it. Or less.

Re-reading that, I think I solved one of Jim's other problems.

I'd like to encourage anyone who feels he or she has a creative side that's being suppressed by today's cubicle farms to take a chance and ram your mom's stationwagon into my garage door. You may be pleasantly surprised.

That should probably be fixed.

Hey, for all you coffee addicts out there; How important is the coffee maker?

Sorry for the question, just thinking of a possible Christmas gift for Dad here. Is a top of the line coffee maker worth the money, or is a Mr. Coffee just as good?

I much prefer a thermal carafe coffee brewer over a glass carafe on a heatplate one. I have the Krups Aroma control, it's what I recommend to people.

You know I have come accept that Jim will not release any game unless it is playable right out the box. Also I am sure he wants to get to the point where he has atleast 3 games near completion(with one of them being done) so that he can spend his time developing games for future releases knowing he can bank on those three games so fund him while he codes the new games. So Jim if you read this I want to say sorry for acting like you owe me anything. You don't and you should take as much time as you see fit. Oh to bad about your Michigan Wolverines(sp?)

Good plan there.

The biggest thing about brewing is to transfer the coffee off the heat as soon as it's done brewing. Investing in a carafe, whether it's part of the coffee maker or not, is a priority. Coffee left on the heater tastes like shit.

And I shall once again pimp http://www.innkeepers-coffee.com for all your java needs. I did the code for their site. :)

The reason is your lack of education and exposure to good coffee.

You probably also put (ack) cream and sugar in, don't you. DON'T YOU. Confess now and there is hope for your re-education.

I third the "coffee from a burner sucks" idea. A $15 coffee maker and a $40 carafe will give you much better coffee than a $100 coffee maker with a burner any day.

YES! 1 packet of sweet and low and a spoonful of non-dairy creamer.

OR, maybe he just likes something different than you? I have tried a number of very expensive coffees, but my personal favorites are Maxwell House or Starbucks house blend. Why spend more when your happy with the cheap?

I do agree about the carafe, though. A local resteruant used to have great brewed coffee that they kept in carafes, but some brainiac decided to replace them with those big coffee heaters. Unless it is fresh, you'll always get the burned taste.

You use cream and sugar too don't you? If you're going to use those, Maxwell House is the way to go. If you are going to drink coffee so that you can taste the coffee, you will really notice the difference and stop drinking the cheap shit almost instantly.

Nope. Use a little splenda, but just enough to turn the bitter. Again, I have tried many expensive coffees (I used to know a guy that spent more on coffee a month than I make), but I never found any that was worth the money. Some cheap coffee isn't good, but you can find good coffee without spending a lot of bucks.
