Yup! Both offenses kicked! Mostly taking advantage of the other teams mistakes and due to exceptional field position.

Now that I'm sober...

That was such an extremely ugly, sloppy, mistake-filled game...probably the worst I've seen the Miners play in the Mike Price era. But to be able to come away with a win despite that is pretty impressive. I'm not sure what's wrong with jordan Palmer, though. He was overthrowing receivers all night...passes that he had no problems at all completing last year. Hopefully it's just a little rust and he starts clicking soon. We'll need better production from him if we're going to beat UNM, UAB, and Memphis...

And he still managed to earn the CUSA Special Teams Player of the Week award.

Players of the week: UTEP players were again recognized by Conference USA for Player of the Week honors.

Junior placekicker Reagan Schneider earned special teams honors for his five field goals Friday in the Miners' 44-41 victory against Houston -- a school record. And junior receiver Johnnie Lee Higgins got the offensive award for his three touchdown catches.
