Thanks again to all those who voted. The top 2 remained the same, but there is a log jam emerging in the 3 through 7 spots. A lot of the Top 25 is on the road this week, so it will be time for some to show their mettle. We also had a tie at the #25 spot, but that will be resolved, since the two teams play each other.

Agreed. However, unless they faulter, the voters really have no choice but to keep them rank that high.

Personally I think they belong ranked one spot ahead of Florida State. Now my Seminoles haven't done anything to deserve their spot but atleast Florida beat an overrated Tennessee.

If Tenn. beats LSU this Saturday, then maybe the Gator's lofty ranking will be justified.

I'll buy the first item but I'm right in line with kingnebwsu- but, in my mind, Florida has beaten the best team not including Texas's win against Ohio State (and USC as defending champ). None of this potential crap. Who has Va Tech beaten so far that merits the high ranking? Or Georgia? Hell, Florida State already has two quality wins over Miami and BC. They may not keep it up, but until they show otherwise on the field, that's where they get voted.

Who has Va Tech beaten so far that merits the high ranking? Or Georgia?So the fact that Florida beat Tennessee and Texas beat Ohio State should put them at the top? Well, just as you say that VT and UGA haven't beaten anyone, who have Tenn and Ohio State beaten that makes victories over them equate to 'quality wins'?

I find it a little illogical to throw away the 'potential' arguement for some teams, but include it when it comes to 'who have you beaten'. Sure, VT's wins are against NC State, Duke and Ohio, but Florida beat a team whose only other game is a seven point win over UAB. That's the result you're using to qualify Tennessee as a quality win? Ohio's State's wins are against Miami (OH) and San Diego State...those are powerhouse results?

To be fair, Georgia barely beat a very poor South Carolina team at home while Alabama completely destroyed the same SC team on the road. Meanwhile, AL are 14 spots behind UGA.
