"Legend of the Green Dragon is a remake of and homage to the classic BBS Door game, Legend of the Red Dragon (aka LoRD) by Seth Able Robinson"
And it's now running on my site. If you guys are interested the url is in my sig. It would only have people from a few of the forums I visit so I don't expect a ton of traffic.
It's a beta and I am still playing with the game parameters, pretty much a vanilla setup at the moment. If you play and have suggestions please let me know because I can change just about anything in the game. I've set this up as a way to "give back" to a couple of the forums I visit and enjoy.

BRE was awesome. Used to have my BBS setup to send packets via FidoNet so we could battle other boards. I ran that on an Amiga 500 with a MASSIVE 450 meg hd that was the size of a shoebox!

I have no idea what this is or what the premise is.
I'm in.

Interactive web based game where you create a character whose purpose is to kill a Dragon. You start out with low stats, money and your fists as a weapon.
You can visit areas around town, go into the forest to kill things, or explore the rest of the world. When you start out there isn't much available but as you gain levels there are many places to explore.
Also features Player vs Player combat, supports forming of Clans so you can fight other groups, and much more.

I like it so far! I just wish my turns didn't go so fast! You're okay with us making more than one character I hope? I need my fix!

I don't mind if you make one character. I have the game setup to accept one character per email address to prevent people from abusing the system but I have no problem with you creating more than one character. Glad you enjoy it!

Yellow5, I noticed in the version at www.lotgd.com that they have on the fight screen options for automatically fighting (5) and (10) rounds. That's very handy, any chance you can turn it on in your version?

Should be enabled now. Also added a few extras today... and noticed we had our first player kill.

I also formed the first clan today - Knights of Trout!

I have a few clan modules I can install. Clan News and Clan Christmas Trees (heh). I currently have 70 modules that are not running on the system and 10 of those are admin mods. Trying to ease them into the game slowly so I don't break the game.

I fired this up this morning - had fun playing it. Looking forward to hunting down Neon Chaos in the stocks and killing him while he can't defend himself :)
How long until the LOGD role-call threads start?

I'm definitely having an unreasonable amount of fun with this, I love all the little places you can visit in the towns, with strange results.

I've setup referral features and you can access them from the Hunters Lodge. Referrals give you points to spend in the lodge so you can do things like change your title, cutomize your equipment and more. Something to use if you want to get friends playing that may not (gasp) read this forum.
PLEASE don't abuse this or "trick" people into clicking a referral link!

I loved Red Dragon. Never played Green before, but it looks slick.

Heh. My guys have no luck defeating their masters.

Sometimes the masters seem very easy to beat, and sometimes they are unreasonably hard. Not being able to use magic against them is very annoying.

My main guy cut through to 4 without a hitch. My alt got wasted at level 2.
