Matrix Games has released it to manufacturing and I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to get my boxed copy in the mail :) It's almost surreal that after all these years it looks like I'll even be hitting store shelves as well. If all goes well the game should be ready for purchase on Monday (right after the Red Sox clinch!)

Even better news for current PureSim 2005 owners, the Matrix folks agreed to let me offer this release as a FREE upgrade to current 2005 owners. I'm sure they didn't love the idea but it was pretty cool that they agreed.

I put together a page with more info here (http://www.puresim.com/matrixrelease.html)

Thanks to all that have supported PureSim in the past.

Go Red Sox.

Great news! I'm assuming the gold version will work with saved careers?

I'd would like to buy this. I have been a OOTP player for the past 2 years. Although I have tried the demo I never played the full incarnation of PSBB. Can someone give me the "Pro & Cons" PS has over its competitors? Thanks.

The one thing I read in the PS forums was that Shaun is thinking (or is going to) implement an "interactive almanac patterned after www.baseballreference.com" for PS2006. This alone is something that could push me over the top.

My goals for my solo leagues are as follows;

*Fictional play with real teams (With realistic stats based on point #2)
*MLB type stats based in the 1980 era
*Realistic contracts
*Deep in-game almanac (please give examples or compare if possible)

If the full version of PS can satisfy these needs I'll buy PS. One more question. How is the modding community for PS (strong - not strong)?

edit: Id also like to try a demo again. Is there one available?

Just wanted to congratulate Shaun and let him know I appreciate his allowing those of us who bought the "older" version of the game to download the new version. There are several steps to follow to get the free download, but it was quite easy and went off without a problem. I hope to fire up a league next week and check the game out for the first time in quite a while.

How much will it cost?

I think I might have to pick this up, since I can no longer seem to get interested in OOTP solo player.

Are there coaching staffs or, at least, a manager in PureSim?

Congrats Shaun. It must be an awesome feeling to see your product being set up on store shelves and to know that you accomplished this with a lot of passion and hard work. Here's wishing you continued successs.

Is there a link to the download version? I checked the Matrix site and didn't find one.

Here's where I saw it after checking out the site. When you click the purchase the game, it gives you the option to go the digital download route.

Click the "Buy Now" link on the left side of the game's page at http://www.matrixgames.com/game.asp?gid=315. It's a couple clicks more after that page, but you'll get there. The reason I didn't give a direct link is that I think it might've given me a link based on a cookie it sent to my computer, so it might not work for anyone else. Try clicking "Buy Now" and navigate your way there. It should work.

Easy,

We have to hook up. I'll bet we've sat next to eachother at bars in Charleston :)

I live in Dunes West in Mt. Pleasant, not sure if you know where that is or not, but lets get together.

The boxed copies don't arrive from production until next week but I'll be sure to consider giving you one if you buy me a few cold ones. :)

If all it costs me to get a free game is to get a man drunk... I'm there.... wait, does that sound as gay in type as it would out loud?

Congrats on the game getting released!

I'm thinking to give this one a shot, but was hunting around the site for a demo. Couldn't seem to find one, and would just like to add my voice to the others wondering about a demo version.

Also, I notice the game is available for download, but I would much rather get the boxed version. I checked Gamestop, EB Games, and GoGamer, but they don't seem to have any news for it. Is the rumor true that the boxed version is only available from the developer if you send him a case of cold beer? Are there other, more traditional ways of getting the boxed version?

Thanks, and congrats on the release.
