seriously, how much time do you have to watch all those shows and play all those games? LOL

i have 2 unemployed friends who don't inquire that much about shows and games.

i like the Tiger Wood series, however i only like playing video game golf with people and my friends and i stopped having our wednesday nite video game sessions, so this doesn't do me any good. i suck at video game golf vs. the AI.

I like TW. I just picked up the 06 version for Xbox. The Xbox live features are pretty nice, you can play in tournaments against other people.

The talent progression in 06 seems to be done very well also. In the last couple of versions, it was pretty easy to max out your talent. It is a little more difficult to do in this version, but it seems more realistic to me.

The screenshots from the upcoming Xbox 360 release look awesome.

TW is a great game, I haven't played it for a couple years so I'm guessing it is considerably better now. I'm thinking about picking up the PC version. My one complaint may be that it is too easy.

completely agree. been playing for a few days on ps2, and not only is it much tougher (and you can shank shots now! finally!), but they made it better overall.

putting is incredibly tough now, as it should be...and even the money reward system is better. i think you used to get like $200 for GIR in previous games, or something crazy like that. this version, its $5. big difference. enjoying it so far.

The PC one is MUCH more difficult if you want it. If you play on advanced level, the slightest bit off-course that your mouse swing goes, the ball goes flying into the nearest sand trap. I think my first computer game on advanced was equal to my REAL golf game, which I thought was incredibly cool (100+ for 18 holes).

It's completely different from the console versions which are incredibly easy.

I'm awaiting my copy of TW 2006(PC) to come in the mail.

I'm excited to create my character that will look exactly like me. I remember playing it on PS2 and creating a char that looked like me. Great feature IMO!

Ive been able to spend a few hours with this game. Right now I am about halfway through the PGA Tour mode, and about 1/4 of the way through the legends mode.

Just a few thoughts,

the jump from beginner to intermediate is very noticable. I am a pretty poor golfer online, and my average is only about 70 on beginner, would probably be 80 on intermediate. What this game sorely needs is a CPU difficulty slider. on beginner the other characters are shooting about 76 for second place most rounds. I wish I could make the CPU play better, without having to raise the difficulty level. The other major annoyance is the first round tee off's. It seems like everyone starts at the same time, and you hardly ever see anyone before you, or after you. Is it too much to ask for some variation here? I am not sure how golf in real life determines the draw for the first round, but I would be happy if it was random, and the other golfers were spread out more around the course. The second part of my annoyance, is you get no scorecard for sudden death playoff. I didnt see an option to show the CPU golfer in sudden death, and I had no clue what I had to beat, which really sucked. My final complaint is the jittery on some courses. I have a decent rig, 3000+ XP 1 gig of ram and a Radeon 9600 video card. And on a few courses the game is choppy when it first loads my shot. Waiting a few seconds before swinging does help, but it still is annoying. One final feature I would like to see is some challenges that are not part of the legends mode, even better would be a challenge generator. I enjoy seeing how close I can get the ball to the pin, and I think its a great way to practice shots.

I love TW2006 and am totally addicted to it. I particularly like the Rivals mode where you play against Hogan, Nichlaus, etc.
