I just finished watching the second episode of this show, and I must say that I hooked. If you like political dramas (which oddly I usually don't) give it a whirl.

me too. :) I wasn't sure Geena Davis could pull off the president role, but so far I've been impressed. It's kind of a fascinating "what if?" story that's been fun to watch.

Does it have a bias towards the left or right?

i watched the first one and wont watch it again, for the simple reason that the main premise is a load of bull shit....there is no way a presidential candidate would select someone as a running mate, especially a woman, that he wouldnt trust to become the president, and the party would never let him pick someone from outside the party. totally crap concept makes for totally crap show, IMO.

I think she's an indepedent. But I haven't watched the show. Not a big fan of political dramas.

The only thing that irks me (not having watched one second of the show) is her name: MacKenzie. While relatively popular nowadays, I don't think the name was used for girls at all back in the day when the character would have been born. Not to mention that I thought "Mac" means "son of".

She is very much a moderate independent so far. They have mention off hand a couple of issues where she splits with both the Dems and the Republicans, so it is pretty non-biased. BUT, if your looking for bias, you'll find it. The Speaker is a big Republican and is evil. The Dems have also made a play at trying to control her, but it is the Speaker who has definitely been the biggest enemy. Then she just picked a VP who she disagrees with politically but respects, and he is a big Dem.

I just read that the creator was fired and Steve Bochco has been brought on to take over, so the direction might change. Hopefully he'll not change things too much, or at least move it toward NYPD Blue, and not Cop Rock. :D

I just keep hearing the words, "her father is the district attorney."

Don't tell Canada. They love that name.

Never saw this the first time, but it's on Netflix now with all of the episodes.
