'Terrorist Act' on Tech Campus
Three explosive devices found in a courtyard between two Georgia Tech dormitories on the East Campus Monday morning were part of a "terrorist act," an Atlanta police official said.
One of the devices exploded, injuring the custodian who found them inside a plastic bag. Two others were detonated by a bomb squad.
The custodian suffered ringing to the ears and was treated at a local hospital. The events led to a temporary evacuation Monday morning.

Without snickering... let's hope that this is representative of the magnitude of the event.
They are calling in the office of Homeland Security to handle the investigation. Another device was found in Gwinnet county
If you know Tech, the two dorms were Glenn and Cloudman

So, the devices were water bottles designed to blow up when handled. The Gwinnett county device was also small, but they are not confirming it was a bottle or something else. It would be a strange coincidence if these were two seperate acts, but it is still possible. None of the devices sound life-threatening, but they could have done harm to whomever mess with them.

If you don't know Tech, which dorms were they?

I spent a lot of time in Glenn as a freshman(I didn't live there but a lot of my friends did), and I spent an unfortunately minimal amount of time in Cloudman(as it's a female dorm, etc wink wink nudge nudge, yeah, I was a loser, girls wouldn't talk to me). Weird seeing a story like this.

Did you go back and plant some bottle bombs in retaliation for all the nights you ended up crying yourself to sleep alone when you were a spotty, awkward freshman?

Things got interesting when George O'Leary showed up claiming to be a bomb expert. He had his paperwork to prove it and everything....

In light of this bad news, that is a great zinger. Funny to hear people call for this guy to come back and coach GT..
