I am enjoying being back to bartending where I get up at noon. It is great

Bartending would be the perfect job without the drunks, smoke, and constant standing.

Bartended for seven years.. it beats the hell out of you.
I've got asthma now and I think all that smoke contributed.
I do like waking at the crack of noon though.

I actually find that I prefer getting up fairly early and having the whole day to do things instead of sleeping in and having only a few hours of free time before having to go to work...

I hate waking up early, but I like being up early--if that makes sense.

Since we've had kids, we rarely get to sleep beyond 7:30am - and most of the time, we're up, even on weekends, well before 7am (I'm up at 5:45 during the week). SO on those rare occasions when I do get to sleep in, I swear the difference between being up at 6am versus 9am feels like 12 hours, rather than 3. It's like lunch hits you almost immediately when you get up at 9 or 10; but when you're up at 6, it takes forever to get to lunch. So, even if I'm off, I actually prefer being up early.

I am the same way....and I am automatically waking up at 6 am, even if it is the weekend, a vacation or what not.
I prefer having the entire day ahead of me...It sucked when I worked graves, cause I was home at 6 am, in bed till Noon, School from Noon to 4, back home to be with family, nap from 7 till 9, then back to work,...

I like my schedule. I work a couple of 6am's a week, have school at 8am a couple days, and then usually get a day with a noon class.
The variety keeps me on my toes, and I appreciate the different things about waking up at each time. At 6am, my day is done when some other people are just STARTING their's... 8am kind of stinks, but it is "normal" so there is no adjustment really... and noon is nice of course, because I feel very refreshed.

There's nothing like going to sleep and not having to set the alarm clock because you don't have to get up the next morning. Too bad that usually only happens for me maybe once every two weeks.... :(

My current job/class schedule situation allows me to never have to set my alarm, for myself.

You, my friend, are a very lucky man. Enjoy it while you can....

All kinds of sense, and describes me perfectly.
