So we are throwing a Halloween party at my place in a few weeks. I haven't dressed up in a few years and needless to say, I am idealess. Give me some ideas people! Cheap ideas!

You could use cardboard, or you could use fabric with a backing. You will need to be able to sew to do option number 2 though

I was thinking wither large sheets of green foam rubber, or green felt with glue, velcro and chicken wire!


Chicken Wire is extremely difficult to work with. Only works well if you are making a rough shape. Cardboard and hot glue works well too. You could cover it with felt when it is done, although that might be more expensive then just painting it green. Foam is not that cheap, and is very itchy from what I can tell.

For my bender outfit I made it from cardboard and poster board. Then I covered it with a layer of paper mache to give it some extra rigidity.
