Hello all,

Thanks to all who voted, we had our best turnout of the season!

Our results mirrored a bit the AP and Harris polls. USC is still #1, but they are looking over their shoulder at Texas and Virginia Tech, who are gaining ground. The game to watch this week will be the USC/Notre Dame game. Will this be the week the win streak ends, or will USC solidify their grasp on #1 with extreme predjudice?

Here are the results:

Team Votes Prev. Weekend opponent

2. Texas (3) 655 2 vs. #23 Colorado
3. Virginia Tech (3) 641 3 Bye

My bad, your vote was indeed counted. I forgot to update the query for the voters to reflect the current poll. I modified the post to reflect this week's voters.

Pretty cool: Do we have the FOFC "Bowl Selection" as well?

Bowl picture (based on FOFC poll and standings right now, just my two cents:

Rose Bowl: No. 1 USC (Pac-10 No.1) vs. No. 2 Texas (Big 12 No.1)
Fiesta Bowl: No. 5 Florida State (No. 1 At-large) vs. No. 8 Penn State (Big Ten No. 1)
Sugar Bowl: No. 4 Georgia (SEC No.1) vs. No. 25 West Virginia (Big East No. 1)
Orange Bowl: No. 3 Virginia Tech (ACC No.1) vs. No. 6 Alabama (No. 2 At-large)

As it stands now, those would be some fun games to watch. There's still a long way to go this season!!!

Yeap...I'll post a "Bowl Picture" every week (if Cartman doesn't mind), using the BCS rules and tie-in's, but the rankings of the FOFC poll and standings (to determine the conference leaders).

How do we vote? :)

Unfortunately, this was the last week to take new submissions. If you voted in one of the previous polls so far this season, your more than welcome to continue submitting. In fact, that is all I ask, that if you submit a poll, you do it consistently.

I believe the points came from Solecismic.com's rankings.

solecismic.com's computer poll had them in the top 25.

As for the bowl rankings, feel free! That's what the poll is for, to generate debate and enthusiasm for the college game.

I still shake my fist at those who didn't put OSU in their top 25 ;) If they lose to MSU tomorrow, then I probably will drop them out of my poll...but they won't lose tomorrow! (slight delusions) They will win! GO BUCKS!!!

Our top ten looks pretty good, except I'd have Penn State over Miami. I'm all about favoring the undefeateds over the 1-loss teams (unless there's a big gap in their SoS).

It's really hard for me to respect Louisville after they got pasted to start their conference play...I think they were only in my Top 25 by default.

Tomorrow should be a good day for football! :)

Yeap, I think tomorrow will start to shake out the pretenders from the contenders.
