I know it's been about 4 years since this game was supposed to be released, but I don't think it ever did. This was supposed to be a sort of online/reality game, where the producers created a bunch of bogus websites, which you would need for clues. There was a thread about it here at FOFC where some people signed up, and I guess it turned in to vapor ware. Because I never heard anything else about it.
I think EA was releasing it, but not positive on that part. When you signed up, you were supposed to give your phone number, AIM name, and maybe your email and home address. When the game kicked off, they were going to call you on your home phone, and leave a message. At that point, the game would be underway, and you had to solve some sort of mystery, and bounce around between real and bogus websites to find more clues.
You were told to expect phone calls, and mysterious AIM messages. Was the message from someone trying to help, or from someone trying to throw you off track? That sort of thing.
Does anyone remember this game idea, or heard why it never happened?
