I am curious how most of you do your auto-rating. I recently purchased Poker Tracker Guide and it seems they have some good auto-rating rules that I have used. I also went over the Bet the Pot guide and it uses a different set. It seems the big difference between two is a Pre-flop category versus a Went To Showdown category. I am curious as to which you think is more important.

I am also looking on stats to improve my post-flop play. Does anyone have any statistics for this. I have found some leaks, such as holding on to JJ and 99 too long after flop. But I would like to find more. What are some of the critical statistics I should examine.

Also I am getting more use out of the external plug-ins such as PokerAceHUD. What stats do you choose to show on the overlay? I have only been using VP$IP%, PFR%, and the number of hands. I feel like I am missing out on some important numbers.

The autorate rules have become much less important to me in game. I had been using a system from bisonbison on 2+2 but I find it much easier just to look at the stats using PA's HUD directly. The stats that I am using are:

VP$IP
preflop raise %
cold call %(good fish detector)
Post flop aggression(I have both the PT aggression number and PA's new calculation)
flop continuation bet %(player raised pre flop does he bet the flop)

Certainly, there are many more numbers you could display but these I find to be the most useful.

Now I haven't seen the Poker Tracker guide #s but I'm pretty sure the Bet the Pot numbers are for playing NL which would lead me to believe that the setup would be substantially different for those playing limit.
