Anyone have the link to that football helmet project page that had all the graphics of just about every college and NFL helmet there ever was.

The quality at Helmets^3 (http://www.misterhabs.com/helmets.htm) blows the Helmet Project away. Not even close. They don't have colleges, but they do have most (all?) of the other professional leagues. These are what I used as templates for the helmets I've done.

Which in turn is what 50 or so more of us have used. ;)

I love these sites, unbelievable ressources for not only football fans who love history (which I happen to be) but also for online leagues.

this is the amazing thing (to me) about the Helmet Project:

The only programs I use are the "Windows Paint" program that is distributed with the Windows operating system (specifically the Windows XP version), and another program called "Micrografx Windows Draw" that was included on a free software CD my brother-in-law got with a computer he bought. I have never used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Corel Draw, or any other graphics software program, and I know nothing whatsoever about any of those programs, although I would assume that they have features that are comparable to or superior to those in the Micrografx Windows Draw program.

Of course that's why the quality of the Helmet Project helmets isn't quite as good, but impressive for what he's working with (especially if you factor in shadowing, etc...paint doesn't have layers, maybe micrografx does).

Just fell victim to that browsing, even though I have been to both these sites dozens of times. Every time I go, I find myself looking through half of it atleast. Then start thinking about how I want to make myself a new helmet....so now I am off to look for a logo to use. :D

Does anyone have a site where it has the helmets facing both directions? I would like to make a "head to head" matchup template of some sort and all of these sites only have the helmet facing one way or the other, and I don't want to mix and match quality to get them facing the same direction.

And I already tried flipping them and the logo is backwards in most cases.

Now if 49 of them could figure out how to spherize the logo! ;)
