Awhile back I was involved with an online fantasy basketball league that had the following system. It was really a lot of fun and easy to keep track of. I am hoping maybe we can get ten guys together or so and give it a whirl.
The scoring system is as follows:
Points plus rebounds plus assists divided by 5
So for instance if Kobe Bryant 20 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists then thats 6 points. If however he only had 4 assists then thats only 5 points.
Each team starts a center, two forwards and two guards plus a wild card position.
It is head to head and you add up all the points for your starters during the week. The cool thing is by the end of the week you end up with basketball scores so my team for the week could beat your team 120-105. The scores makes it more real for some reason.
If anybody is interested let me know in the thread and we can work out more of the semantics like drafting and bench players and all that, if not then i guess its one of those gay yahoo public leagues for me this year!
