I don't think this video really shows that the war in Iraq is not going well or that it is not "in its last throes." Frankly, setting off booby-traps[sp?] from a position of concealment is the type of geurrilla warfare tactic that an anemy in "its last throes" might employ.
The video does show the dangers of combat and the dangers of reacting versus acting in a combat setting.

The Resistance is now using laser technology. This is bad for the Occupation for a few reasons.
Guerilla Warfare is also (smartly) used when you're outnumbered by a more technologically advanced force.

Or it might be a strategy used successfully by a small group of paramilitaries against one of the world's finest militaries for a period of 30 years.

Laser technology has been a commonly used and inexpensive war tool going back I believe the first Gulf War. It was most definitely used by the 'bad guys' in Bosnia.

That was ugly, but I don't see how this incident tells the story of the entire conflict.
