but an interesting Internet fraud attempt regardless.
It appears that lil' Charlie tried to rip off a guy on a 4X4 forum. Once a little blood got in the water, all hell broke loose. It is a LONG thread, but there is absolute gold through out. Enjoy!

The first 7 to 10 pages are are you really need to go through. The rest is just a massive piling on. :D
Reading. looks like the OP is a jerkwad so far.

Is this what the human race has come to? Wanting to kill someone over 125$? Is that the price of peoples soul these days???

All this nonsense over some shit for a truck, even. The seller is an idiot, though. He said he had sent the check and then later says he isn't sending the check. The guy is a thief.

Wow (don't ask how many pages I read). This will truly be a wikipedia's Internet Phenomenon (if it isn't already). The first 30 pages is really the story, the remaining 35 is just piling on and waiting for the check to clear. Rule #1. Don't rip anybody off on the internet, esp. a gang of tough-talkin' wheelers. Sad thing is that there are many people like that punk-ass kid Charlie, esp. around eBay.

Got to page 11--wow, lots of douchebags on that forum, but they look fairly reasonable next to what may be the most insufferable prick I've ever seen on the internet. Did anyone ever contact that kids parents or workplace?

I read that story about the CB guy that got blown up by a bomb, after he ripped another thief off. Terrible

I am pretty sure the parents were contacted and I know that Charlie kid was being called hundreds of times a day.

So what happens after page 10? The pages stopped loading for me. Must be too much traffic on the site.

Looks like they've taken the site down temporarily to correct issues with "overload."
I got to page 22. Did he ever cash the check?

He sent a Western Union money order, which apparently can take up to a month to fully clear. So while it looks like he paid the guy back, the jury is still out until the money order clears.
Either way, the internets had fun with this guy.

Not only that, it was a 7/11-WU money order which, if I understood correctly, couldn't be cashed at other 7/11s. I think he tried Safeway, which also handles WU, but not the 7/11 kind. I think Charlie did this on purpose (as partial revenge) because he could have gone the USPS route, as instructed. One thing I learned from this is never to have your or your parent's or your loved one's bios (with pics) on the internet.
