...I really respect Donovan McNabb.
Now, personally, I don't care much about football. I'll watch a game if it's on and nothing else is, and I kind of have a clue as to what's going on, but I don't *really* have a team I care about and follow seriously (if I did have one, it would be the Pats because they were my grandfather's team, but I don't really have one).

But with the mess that's gone on with the Eagles with T.O. (and I think most people here know I think he's a crybaby wuss) and now Donovan's injury, combined with the Eagles's performance, I have seen a lot of McNabb on ESPN for various press conferences.

He comes off as a very *true* person (i.e. tells it like it is) and seems very well-spoken. He also comes off like the true team leader (which I know he's supposed to be), and he carries that role well. I don't know if it's just how he's come across on TV, but I'm watching Sportscenter right now and they just did a blurb on McNabb's injury, and it hit me, that time after time, McNabb is a consistently very respectable person in the NFL.

And that is all. :)

Yeah. TO makes him look even better and better. On most teams, a star would've just had him shot or something. Or forced a trade. Or never let him come there at all. He's been above the board for most of this mess, when most guys never would've

I don't like the guy at all. No class in my mind.

Why? When he was at Syracuse, he played West Point. During the game he made a touchdown and then (sarcastically) saluted the corps....basically taunting us. That's something TO would do.

He also got punked by TO. Some may think he took the "high road", but I think he's just a wuss who got tired in the Superbowl.

I don't mind McNabb, but during his press conferences he's taken snide/cloacked shots at T.O. Personally, I respect a person more if they just come out and be critical of someone instead of trying to keep up some persona but still taking shots. Doesn't make TO not an ass, but I don't think McNabb is the saint everyone makes him out to be.

McNabb is a jackass. He's just got a better P.R. guy than Owens does.

I think his mom must be a lousy cook if all she ever does is heat him up some chunky soup.

Care to expand that thought? You can say what you want about his playing abilities, decision making tactics, but how can you say he's a jackass?
