Just curious. Still happy you got one, or is it now collecting dust?

Still pretty damn thrilled. I use mine to watch a fair amount of TV, and the new Tivo deal next spring should cut a step or two out of the conversion dance. I was a bit horked for a while that the emphasis was so much on producing movies than games for most of 2005, but I realize that it's because there was a lag between the launch crews getting their dev specs and everyone else and, well, making games take time.
Now that the gamestream is coming out, there's X-Men Legends and GTA for action, golf and poker for casual...that damned Madden bug is my only real pain in the ass right now. Throw in an old-school RPG or two this week and I'm a very satisfied customer.

I'm digging it. Lumines is still getting plenty of play time, and I'm loving GTA and X-Men Legends II.

I'm loving mine, there are more interesting games out now than I have the time or money to play.
On the other hand, my brother hasn't touched his in a couple weeks and told me just this weekend that he'd sell it if he felt he could get anything for it.

Loving it.
I don't own an IPOD or any other portable music device, so the mp3 portion gets used heavily.
I'm loving GTA and still fire up a game of Madden on occasion.
I do a ton of traveling though. In the last three months I've seen myself at the airport 9 times heading out of town. The PSP has proven itself. Nice and compact on the plane (much easier than firing up the laptop)
Even when home, I'll play a game of something while I'm watching a game or listening to music.
I'm very happy I made the purchase.

I'm still very happy with my PSP. I'll be even more happy with it once FM is out for the PSP ;)
However, I'm also looking forward to picking up one of the new RPG's which are coming out for it very soon.

My thoughts exactly. A vastly underused word. A true Geek Shiboleth.

So will I - it'll mean I can catch up on my sleep a little ;)
(the games coming along nicely, but its still got rough edges to polish before its ready for release).
With regards to my PSP - I think they're great, although I have to admit I use mine for watching movies more than I do playing games, this is simply because most of the games out now are 'reflex' games and I'm more a strategy nut - I am looking forward to 'Lord of the Rings Tactics' though ... its on pre-order already.

Hmmm. I just came into about 300 bucks worth of Best Buy reward zone bucks plus American Express gift checks plus gift cards. Slightly tempted to get a PSP, but I'm thinking I should just save it for one of the new consoles (XBOX 360 or PS3). Madden is annoying because of load times / stuttering, right? I played Hots Shots Golf at Best Buy and it was pretty cool.

I wouldn't say it is that annoying, but I certainly prefer any console version to the PSP version. It was great when I was in Shreveport due to hurricane evacuation, but I rarely play it now as it is not the best 5-15 minute game which is usually the time periods that I have to play the PSP at work or whatever.
Like Marc, I'm really looking forward to some of the strategy games coming out for the PSP in the future.

Lemme put it this way. I dig PSP, but if I were forced to choose between it and the Xbox 360, I'd go 360. I dig 'em both, but I dig 360 more, and I'm not mobile enough for the portability of PSP to be a big plus mark in its favor.

If I was choosing btw a PSP or an Xbox 360, I would take the Xbox 360 as well.

How much would he like to sell his for, I'd gladly buy his off of him.

I will add that I love my PSP. I love the fact that any of the games I have I can basically pause the game by powering it down and when I come back to it I am right where I left off. I love the fact that I can play it at work, but lets just keep that on the down low.
Now if I had the choice between the PSP, 360, PS3. I would definatley go PS3.

Speaking of PS3, I hope Sony does something along the lines of Xbox live, or I might just stick with the 360 until a serious PS3 price drop. Perfect Dark Zero > Halo 2 online. And I can't wait for Gears of War, Ghost Recon, Dead Rising, and in the not too distant future I plan on picking up Condemned.
As for the really distant future, it seems the 360 may be the place for RPG's, with BioWare's(KOTOR 1, Jade Empire) Mass Effect, a planned sci-fi RPG trilogy. And the big one in my(and I'm sure other people's minds as well) Lost Odyssey. Lost Odyssey will be the first game to come of Microsoft's partnership with Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.
In other words, buy a 360.

Enjoying my PSP a lot - a mix of watching movies (mainly ripped from my DVD collection, but I actually own a few UMD films now as well) and playing a mix of games (currently :- FM Beta (UMD disk only, sorry we could only get a half dozen made and as such they're remaining internal beta's), Pro Evo (great but darn slow to 'load'), LOTR Tactics (fairly simple as far as 'tactics' go but fun all the same)).

I still love mine, though since getting Mario Kart DS and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, I've been playing more of my DS than my PSP.
That said, once FM2006 for the PSP comes out, I expect my usage to flip again. :D ;)
